Happy Zoe Vegan Bakery

I absolutely love Happy Zoe Vegan Bakery! Their whips are incredible – made with organic bananas and no added sugar, so I feel good about enjoying them. They’re healthy, full of flavor, and look so beautiful that I can’t resist taking photos before eating. The staff is always so kind and welcoming, which makes every visit special. It’s my go-to spot for a treat I can feel good about – highly recommend to everyone, vegan or not!

The fruit whip was SO GOOD. I know people said it was overrated but in my opinion it tasted exactly as good as it looked. It did come out to be $19 though… but I shared it with 3 friends so it was only about $5 each. I definitely recommend sharing the fruit whip but boy was it delicious.

OMG the fruit whip is sooooooo good. Banana based. Delicious. Heathy. Filling. Clearly fresh made. Feels like you are sitting in a polish grandma’s living room. We shared the 16oz ($17) with 3 people and we were so full and delighted. Everything is vegan. Smoothies, fruit whip, cakes and sandwiches. Run by polish sisters. Kinda slow service but whatever, it’s made with love from scratch.

This fruit whip defies food science. How is it so whipped?! So fluffy?! So creamy?! It’s amazing. They’re Polish scientists at Happy Zoe Bakery. It did take around 15-20 minutes for the rainbow fruit whip, and it was $17 lol. So not the most efficient nor most cost effective. It did feed 3 of us (easily) and I think they made it all right then and there. Share a fruit whip!! They are big and filling. 10/10 recommend as a dairy free and gluten free treat. Also healthy? Ish? Anyway it’s amazing.

Happy Zoe, a charming bakery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, has mastered the art of plant-based pastry while maintaining a flawless NYC Health Department A grade—no small feat. The pastries (raspberry cake, pistachio matcha cheesecake, chocolate cake, raw banana whip) are vibrant, indulgent, and memorable enough to convert skeptics. Michelin may not yet have a category for vegan bakeries, but Happy Zoe makes a strong case. Exceptional pastries, true hospitality, and a level of care that elevates every visit. I’ll be back—often whenever I’m in the city.

I love this place! I’ve been ordering my birthday cakes from here for years now. Even my non-vegan friends who tasted my bday cakes now order theirs from Happy Zoe too. What prompted me to FINALLY leave a review today was that I popped in to load up on some baked goods for the week and tasted their cinnamon buns fresh out of the oven. It was SO GOOD! I look forward to bringing a group of friends. Lastly I must say, I’m consistently in search of vegan restaurants, bakeries etc and there’s been none I’ve found that can really compare. Why? This place uses organic ingredients, they do not use cane sugar, they just simply care. I’m a clean eater. Idm eating “not so clean” foods occasionally but not regularly. Sorry for my rant but this review is long overdue and I sincerely can’t say enough. Ok one more thing. Their cheese cake is .

Got a very special Chantilly Bitthday Cake for my gluten-free, dairy-free daughter’s birthday and it was soooooo perfect!!! The cake was moist and filling, and I scored even more “brownie points” when my daughter saw how beautifully decorated it was with the sweetest organic berries. When I called to place the order the owner was extremely gracious and amazingly accommodating with my special requests. HAPPY ZOE VEGAN BAKERY made a birthday, a very happy one Now, my daughter and I stop by for treats and when we’re in Greenpoint. The owner runs the bakery/café herself and everything is done with a touch of Such a wonderful place!!!

I’ve been getting cakes and baked goods at Happy Zoe for years. They have such an incredible selection for custom orders. Their cakes are always moist and delicious. So thrilled to see one of my favorite small businesses getting the attention they deserve.
